Christmas Eve at my parents.

Kylee wasn't feeling too well that night, so Kaitlynn and Kendall helped her open her presents.

Yes! She got another American Girl Doll.

It's Kirsten. She really didn't think she would be getting her. She has recently been retired and placed in the archives.

Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakquel

On Wednesday we met up with another family plus their cousins and watched the new Chipmunk movie. The kids were pretty good. Kendall and Kylee did learn a new song though. The two of them can now break into Single Ladies at any given time. :)

Photobucket
Almost all of the kiddos. We are missing one in this pic.
Photobucket
I think they may have enjoyed the games just as much as they did the movie.

A Christmas Gathering.

The weekend before Christmas we met up with part of Trey's family to celebrate Christmas. We exchanged presents and the girls were very happy to receive a collection of Zhu Zhu pets and their accessories.

A Christmas Play

Kaitlynn is in the Scholar's club at her school. It meets twice a week after school. The club put together a Christmas play for the parents to watch the Tuesday before school let out for the holidays. They also did the play in front of the school on their last day of school. It was a pantomime, so there were no speaking parts except for the narrators. Kaitlynn and another young boy were the narrators. So, Kaitlynn didn't really have a costume like the other children. Here is a picture of the group of children after they finished on Tuesday.

My Little Monkeys!

They do this all the time. As you can see Kendall is actually sitting up there watching tv. This would scare me if they weren't such good climbers! :)

Santa 2009

I finally took the girls to see Santa today. All 3 girls are looking at the camera and no one is crying so I'd say it was a success. Kylee doesn't look too happy, but you just got to know her. Her default expression is grumpy. If you want to see their Santa picture from last year click here.

Kendall and Kylee's "School" Pictures!

Here are Kendall and Kylee's "school" pictures from mother's day out/preschool.

Still catching up...

Back to last Monday. Trey and I were asked to attend the school board meeting to accept an award. Last year we served as co-presidents for the PTO at Kaitlynn's school. Over the past 3 years the PTO has provided every classroom in the school with a Promethean Activboard. Those run about 4300 dollars a class. The funds to purchase these boards all came from our parents and the community who supported our students in the annual walk-a-thon that the PTO organizes for the school. It is amazing how much money this fundraiser brings in especially in these economic times. This is the only fundraiser the school does and the PTO is very proud of that. It is so successful year after year that no other fundraiser is needed. Here is a picture that I took from our newspaper's website.

Trey and I are pictured with Lisa the PTO president for this school year, the principal, and a school board member. Oh, and the award we received is called Volunteer of the Month. The school board was quick to point out that the work we did actually spanned three years though. It felt good being recognized for all our hard work.

What happens when Trey goes to Wal-Mart?

He comes home with two of these.....

Photobucket

Yep, that says Snuggie for dogs.

Photobucket

Buzz and Tinkerbell got early Christmas presents today.

Photobucket

He had all three girls with him and he says Kylee went a little crazy when she saw them and she alone talked him into buying them. Buzz and Tink do seem to like them.

What a week!

Sorry I haven't posted this week. We have been quite busy. Last Sunday we had a Christmas gathering for the Whitted family. It was nice, we had a lot of great food, but not many pictures. I can't believe that I forgot to take pictures, that is so unlike me. I did manage to get a couple of the girls after almost everyone left though.

I have more pictures from our other events that we had last week. Hopefully, I'll get them posted soon. Looks like I have a little catching up to do.

Movie Night

Last night the five of us went to see The Princess and the Frog. It was really good. I teared up at the end because I just thought it was so sweet. Disney just created a new princess. I know that sounds silly but it just kind of got to me. Our next trip to Disney World will be even more exciting now knowing that there will be a new princess in the park to meet.

The girls were really good. Kaitlynn and Kendall are just perfect and get so in to the movies that they are no problem at all. Kylee on the other hand sat through the whole movie, but it was a little more of an adventure for her. First it started off with her being convinced that she was going to watch Woody and Buzz. Remember her first trip to the movies was to watch Toy Story and Toy Story 2. I guess she just assumed that was what she was going to get to watch this time. It didn't help that before the movie started they had a trivia question on the screen and the answer was Woody and Buzz. Then there was a preview for Toy Story 3. She was so excited! We will definitely be seeing it when it comes out in JUNE! Then the movie started. She watched the movie but didn't really get into all of it. Some parts of it just weren't as interesting to her. Overall she did well. I have to remind myself that she is only a year old and is super active. Sitting still for long periods of time just isn't her.

The next movie we see will be the new chipmunk movie. I can't wait. I am probably more excited than the girls are, but hey I am a chipmunk fan. :)

Christmas party number 4, I think?

We had another Christmas party last night. This one was for Trey's office. It is always scheduled for the night of the Christmas parade. Trey's office is downtown and on the the parade route. All we have to do is step out the door and voila, front row seats.

Photobucket
First we has dinner together, then we attempted a ginger bread house.
Photobucket
It was harder than Trey thought it would be.
Photobucket
Trey tried to get a picture of all the kids in the back of Derek's truck.
Photobucket
This is how they watched the parade. They had no idea they were in an oversized playpen, haha.
