Kendall and her friend Macy.
Kaitlynn, Kendall and Kylee with Mr. Lane. So sad that he is retiring. He was a great PE teacher that all three girls had the pleasure of having during their time at City Park.
Kaitlynn, Kendall and Kylee with Mrs. Rollins. She was the librarian at City Park but she also retired this year. It will definitely be different next year at the school without her and Mr. Lane.

First Post-Op 5K
Four months after her ACL reconstruction surgery Kaitlynn decided to attempt a 5K. She actually decided about twelve hours before the race started. Did she train? No. She winged her first post-op 5K and convinced one of her friends to do it as well.
The race started at her middle school and the proceeds benefited the ALS foundation. The school's librarian passed away from this awful disease a few years ago.
Kaitlynn posed with some of her classmates and teachers for a few pictures before the race started.
Off they go!
Kaitlynn convinced her friend Paityn to run this race with her. Paityn didn't even know it was a 3.1 mile race until she lined up at the start line. She still did it though. That's a great friend!
Here they come!
They did it!
Kaitlynn's first post-op 5K finish time was 38:11 and Paityn's first 5K finish time was 38:23. Not bad for two girls that didn't train what so ever!
Oh and the new knee held up just fine. :)
What an awesome surprise when Kaitlynn found out she was second in her age group! Her friend Katie was first. Two pretty girls sporting some new bling.
After the race everyone went inside the school for a reception and for the dedication of the school's library to Mrs. Holland.
