Finish Photo

Here's our official race photo taken right after we crossed the finish line. (Notice the water bottle, powerade, and banana.) Immediately after crossing the line Disney had volunteers handing out snacks. Right after the snacks there were photographers who very quickly snapped pictures. I truly didn't think our picture would turn out because I don't even remember looking at the camera before the photographer said next. Guess she really did know what she was doing after all.
*Edited to add - Don't you just love Kaitlynn's tan lines? Ha, I wonder what sport she plays to get tan lines like that?

Swim Meet #2
The girls swam in their second swim meet Tuesday night. Kaitlynn ended up with first places in all her relays including a 15-18 year old relay!! Ummm, she's 10! She did a great job. She also finished 2nd in the 50 free and first in the 50 breast.

Kendall swam in the 25 free and an 8 and under 100yd freestyle relay. Kendall swam by herself on Tuesday night. Can't believe how grown up she is!

About to finish.

Moving on....
Yes...... The Lunachicks are moving on to the 3V3 Live Nationals in OHIO!!

The girls competed in a tournament yesterday and finished in 3rd place, meaning they have qualified for Nationals!! Woohoo!

Way to go Lunachicks!!
The morning started off pretty bad, like ugly bad. The girls lost the first game of the tournament 4-0. Two of the girls were actually in the bathroom when that game ended. Sick, sick, sick! I think there may have been a stomach bug passed around which included fevers, vomiting, and other stomach issues. The second game went a little better they lost 3-1 but then they really turned it on for the last two games. They won both of those 6-3, 6-3. I was so nervous that they wouldn't even be able to complete the tournament after starting the morning off sick, but they did and they did it well. Can't help but think how it may have ended if they had all been healthy for the first two games.......

Best Movie Ever!!!
The five of us went to see Toy Story 3 this evening. We were all excited to see it, Trey even took the afternoon off work so we could catch a matinee. We did not watch the 3D IMAX version because a) the 3D glasses are too big for Kendall's head and b) Kylee will not wear the glasses. I'm not going to say much about the movie because you all should go see it. I will say that Trey, Kaitlynn, and myself cried through parts of it. I want to see it again it was so good. I am now taking volunteers, who wants to watch Ken and Ky while we go watch it again in IMAX 3D? :)
It's official......
We have two girls on the swim team! Kendall swam in her first swim meet ever last night. That's her in the pink goggles above. One of her coaches swam with her since it was her first race. She did so well, I can't believe she is swimming!
Kaitlynn got back in last night after being on a 2 and a half year retirement. Kaitlynn use to swim year around on the swim team, but she stopped towards the end of my pregnancy with Kylee. Kaitlynn did great! She finished 1st in the 50 breast and 2nd in the 50 free. She was a little rusty on her starts and turns but still did awesome. It's very hard to believe she hasn't been practicing in over 2 years! I'm so proud of both of them. Swimming was my sport in high school and knowing all the strokes and water safety is extremely important to me. Kaitlynn is also working on her swimmer's card this year through the red cross swim lessons. After she completes it the next class for her will be lifeguarding which she can't take until she is sixteen. It will be here before we know it.

Disney Expedition Everest Challenge
Over the weekend Kaitlynn and I flew down to Orlando to compete in the Disney Expedition Everest Challenge. The challenge included a 5K run that had obstacles spread through out it. The first obstacle was a balance beam, the second was running through tires, the third was jumping hay bales, and the final obstacle was crawling under a net (our least favorite obstacle). I'm very proud of Kaitlynn, she did great on her first official 5K . Immediately following the run was a scavenger hunt through the Animal Kingdom. Wow, it was harder than the run - I'm not kidding!

Our 5K and obstacle run time was 32:34 and our scavenger hunt time was 44:28 for a combined finish time of 1:17:01.

We ended up placing 102 out of the 423 womens teams.

Busy week!
Wow, where has the week went? Well, me and Kylee have been driving Kaitlynn to and from Knoxville every day this week for soccer camp. Kaitlynn really enjoys the camp and looks forward to it every year. It's great seeing her so happy, so the two hours in the car each day are totally worth it. Here are a few pictures that I took today. I have a few others that I may share in a later post, I'm just crunched for time right now. I should totally be packing, but I can't stand to get behind on my blogging.

Butterfly fly away.....
Yes, that was the song we were all singing tonight when we released Kendall's butterflies.

Kendall received the Live Butterfly Garden for her birthday. She really enjoyed raising four caterpillars. She watched them grow (very quickly I might add), then she watched the caterpillars make cocoons, and finally she watched them turn into four beautiful butterflies. It was a little sad letting them go tonight, but very neat at the same time. Oh, and if you are wondering, yes Kendall has already asked if we can get more caterpillars. :)

Kendall's 4th Birthday Party Pictures.
Here are a few pictures that I took before the party started. The t.v. with her montage playing.

The bounce house and the bubble machine although I do not think the bubble machine was on when I took this picture.

A few of the decorations.

May Total
My total miles for the month of May is 80.66. A little slower month but still going. My total for the year is 409.72! I should make it to 500 miles by the end of the month which will put me on track to complete 1000 miles in 2010. I guess that is my current goal. I am also hoping to get a few more races in by the end of the year.

Lunachicks
Lunachicks - a group of U-10 girls who played some great soccer this weekend!

The 3v3 team that Kaitlynn plays for and Trey coaches finished 1st in the U-10 rec. division and second in the U-10 competitive division this weekend!! Check out those cute little trophies.

I love their uniforms, just a little crazy looking. Then again, they are the Lunachicks. :)
The girls were 3-1 for the tournament. They won their first game 5-1, won their second game 8-0 and won their third game 3-1. The championship game was played against a competitive team, they lost 5-3. They played really well though. They hung on until right at the end. The game stayed very close until about the last five minutes when the other team got two goals in.
I know one thing, they made their parents very proud. Go Lunachicks!
