Run at the Mill Half Marathon

On April 14th I ran my third half marathon of the year and fifth one ever. I ran with Wanda and Katie and it was great! The three of us ran the first six miles together then Katie said for us to go on. I ran with Wanda up until mile 11. I really wanted to set a new personal record so I went ahead. My previous best was a 2:05:44.
 I finished with a 2:03:07!!! A new PR!
Wanda and Katie also set new PR's! So proud of us all!

My first three peat race!

In January 2010 I decided that I was going to start running and trained for my first 5K. My first race was the 65 Roses 5K for cystic fibrosis. I set a goal for myself to run my first 5K in less than 30 minutes. I met that goal and I guess that is when I got hooked. I've been running ever since. I ran this race in 2011 and again this year making it my first "three peat" race. :) I did not have have a goal for the race this year as 5K times don't mean too much to me right now. I have been unable to equally balance my training time. I'm currently focused on distance meaning my pace is a little slower than I would like it to be for a 5K. My body seems to fall into a pattern and  right now it likes a comfortable distance pace. Anyways I was happy with my finish and all though it wasn't a personal best 5K time it was a personal best for this course. My finish time this year was 26:42.

Easter

After getting home pretty late we woke the girls up and let them eat some candy before we made it to the 8:30am service at our church.

We should have known that after spending a week on central time, a late night, and an early morning the girls would crash. Kendall and Kylee slept through the church service but woke up and were fine during Sunday school.
The girls in their new Easter dresses.
Me and the girls. We all wore yellow this year.

Spring Break Day 8

As you could have guessed we spent most of this day driving.
We stopped in Memphis for lunch. Trey had heard that Rendezvous was a really good BBQ restaurant and wanted to try it. It did not disappoint.
We still had to drive across the state of TN but I had yet to buy the girls' Easter dresses... So we stopped and shopped for a while. We finally made it home a few minutes before midnight. We had a great week!

Spring Break Day 7

On our last day in the Dallas area we visited the Fort Worth Stockyards.

The girls were so excited about seeing the longhorns.

This was also the day that we realized Kylee can no longer have Fanta Orange. Unfortunately we didn't realize this until later in the day.

 Kylee taking a pony ride.
Kendall on a pony. Notice their new cowboy hats.
Dr. Pepper with pure cane sugar.

After the stockyards we had lunch at Ojeda's and did a little shopping at the American Girl Doll store.
This is where we said our goodbyes to Ben and LB. This snuck up on Kylee. She wasn't quite ready to leave Texas but we had to start driving home. We stopped and spent the night in Texarkana after a very giggly, loud, talkative car ride with Kylee. Thank you Fanta Orange!

Spring Break Day 6

A sports filled day!
We started the day off by touring Rangers Ballpark. Trey was able to check two ballparks off of his list on this trip.

The girls hanging out in the dugout.

We toured Cowboys Stadium next... Be prepared as I am sure I went a little overboard with pictures.

 The man himself!

 Running barefoot on the field.

After spending hours at the Cowboys Stadium (big thanks to my family) we watched a FC Dallas game.

We had a great time at the game!

FC Dallas won 1-0!
