Opryland Hotel

Trey and I spent two nights in Nashville for the Music City Bowl. There was no question where we wanted to stay. So the Opryland Hotel it was! It was beautiful!

Show me the Mommy!

Remember this picture from almost a year ago? Here is a link to the blog entry about it.

Well, while at the pep rally yesterday I recognized the cheerleader who had been so nice to Kendall in that parking garage over a year ago. She's holding the "OLE" sign.

Little did I know that the lady that I was standing by and had been talking to before the pep rally started was that girl's mother. She talked about her daughter being a cheerleader and I noticed that the lady looked a lot like Katie. I told her hey I think I have a picture of your daughter with my daughter. I pulled my blog up on my blackberry and showed her the picture. It was in fact her daughter. She was so excited and asked me to send her that picture. I could tell she was having a proud mommy moment.

So, I asked her if I could take a picture with her to show Kendall. I just loaded my pictures on the computer this evening and came across this picture and thought that's it... That's my "Show me the Mommy" post!

I love the story behind this one!

Here comes the band.

And the cheerleaders!

We had club level seats which meant we had access to these nice couches and chairs.

Everyone waiting for the game to start.

Me and Trey on our nice leather couch.

The Vols finished their warm-up and headed into the locker room.

So much orange!

More orange!

Trey trying to keep warm. The game started early but double overtime meant a long game that got colder by the minute. Even though the end of the game was almost comical. I mean really it was just a messy disaster that stunned everyone. I can say I will not ever be surprised by this again. We have lost two games this season after being declared the winner. Seriously, it was the wildest thing ever! Not sure what was shown on tv, but the head referee turned on his microphone, declared the game over with us winning 20-17, the coaches congratulated each other, the stage to present the trophy on was pushed onto the field... Then it happened a review from the booth that allowed UNC to kick a field goal and force us into overtime. Truly unbelievable!
