Accountability...
Well, here is an update on me. The 5K training is going great! My speed is getting faster every week. To help me reach my resolution and as added motivation I have joined a group of people in a race to 500 miles in 2010. So here it is, my total for the month of January is 61.77 miles!!! Yay, I am so proud of that. The weather has been a major factor this week and since I run outside it has been difficult getting those miles in. Tons of rain and even snow has blanketed the area. If I hadn't signed up for the 500 in 2010 challenge I have a really good feeling that I would not have gotten any miles in this week. This challenge is definitely helping me with the 5K training. Next on the list is to pick a race or two. :)

Our Snowman
Snow Pictures!
I took this yesterday around 5:30pm. I was close.

Me and Trey

Me and my girls!

The pictures are really blurry because the snow was still coming down when we were out.

I couldn't keep the girls in any longer and the sun was about to go down.

So, we went out to play.

It was a little hard to see with all the snowflakes in our eyes.

Kylee with her tongue out catching flakes.

Woody running through the snow.

Tinkerbell wanting to go back in the house.

Kaitlynn with wet hair. Time to go back inside.

I'm sitting here watching the snow fall. It is so pretty! We are really getting hit hard by it this time. My guess is there is already 5 inches on the ground!! Can't wait to let the girls and the dogs out in it. Pictures will be coming soon!

Girl Scout Cookies Anyone? :) {EDITED}
Kaitlynn is selling girl scout cookies again this year. They are $3.50 a box. Cookies will be delivered at the end of February. Let me know if you want to order some.

Thin Mints: The most enduring and universally familiar Girl Scout cookie. These round, mint-flavored cookies covered with dark chocolate perennially sell the most boxes of any cookie.

Samoas®: These are round doughnut-shaped cookies about two inches in diameter with a hole in the center, covered in caramel and toasted coconut, and then striped with chocolate.

Tagalongs: These are round cookies with a layer of peanut butter on top, and covered in chocolate. These cookies come in a red box.

Do-Si-Dos®: A sandwich cookie. The round, bumpy perforated oatmeal cookie top and bottom surrounds a peanut butter-flavored layer inside.

Trefoils: These shortbread cookies are shaped like the Girl Scout Trefoil design. These cookies come in a blue box.

Lemon Chalet Cremes™: Featuring a design of Our Chalet in Switzerland, a beloved Girl Scout World Center, this sandwich cookie has a touch of cinnamon-ginger spice that evokes the warmth of a fireside chat on a snowy evening.

Thank U Berry Munch™: New for 2010. Real premium cranberries provide a delightful tartness in these hearty cookies sweetened with creamy, white fudge chips. They come in a cranberry colored box.

Dulce de Leche: Inspired by the classic confections of Latin America, these sweet, bite-size cookies are rich with milk caramel chips. They come in a turquoise box.

Meet Woody!
The newest member of our family! Woody came home last night after a very long and adventurous day. He started his day in Oklahoma and ended it here with us in Tennessee. He is about three and half months old and so far seems to be a very good puppy.

He is a red wire haired dachshund.

He is getting along very well with our other two dachshunds Buzz and Tinkerbell.

My New Year's Resolution
I always seem to make the same new year's resolution but I never seem to see it through. Hmmmm.... new approach this year. First of all I am posting my resolution on here to keep myself motivated and accountable. Secondly I am changing the resolution around a little, but still hoping to get the same result. Thirdly my new Christmas present is very fun and a great tool for me to help keep my resolution.
Well, I guess at this point you are wondering what my resolution is, aren't you?
My goal for 2010 is to run a 5K. I've never ran that far before but I have been logging lots of miles walking over the last 7-8 months. I am absolutely positive that I can complete a 5K so I added a little more to the goal. I want to complete my first 5K in less than 30 minutes. I think this is actually a resolution that I will keep. I have already started training for it and I am hoping that by training for this race I will at the same time lose a few pounds. Trey got me a Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS watch for Christmas and I LOVE IT! It is so much fun and it keeps me motivated by keeping up with my pace while I am running. It also gives me the freedom to run wherever I want and it will track the distance for me.

Now I just need it to warm up some outside.

Date night!

Nope, not for me! I don't get those anymore.

Trey and Kendall went to the UT Basketball game last night.

Kendall loves to go and watch the cheerleaders.

Trey said it took a lot of convincing to keep her in her seat. She was so sure that since she was wearing her cheerleader outfit that she should be able to go down on the floor with the rest of the cheerleaders.

The halftime show! This is what Kendall was there to see!

Happy New Year and Happy Birthday to Trey!
All the girls and their friends made it up to bring in the New Year and Trey's birthday last night. We also kept up our tradition of eating birthday cake at midnight. Kylee was just set on getting Trey a Diego cake this year. Trey said it didn't matter to him, so he got a Diego and Dora birthday cake for his 29th birthday.

Right after midnight... Trey with his cake!

Cake and ice cream at midnight makes for one long night! :)

Christmas Day Pics!
Yes, I am a little behind.... I hope to get caught up today because I really want to post some pictures from last night.

Kylee trying out her big gift from Santa.

Some of the loot Santa left for the girls and the dogs! The American Girl Just Like Me Dolls were Kaitlynn and Kendall's big gifts from Santa.

Awe, I just love this picture!

It didn't take her long to move on to the chocolate.

Kendall and her doll in matching dresses. This picture really makes you notice how fair Kendall's skin is.

Kylee wanted her picture taken too, so she grabbed her Wubbzy and said "CHEESE!"
