Happy 6th Birthday Kendall!

Kylee's First 5K!

Kylee has been to many races with me and at almost every one she asks if she can run too... She did run a 100 meter dash at Disney World last year and a 40 yard dash at Cowboys Stadium this year but she wanted more. Due to a last minute change of plans she got to run her first 5K this past Saturday. At the beginning of the week the plans were for Kaitlynn and myself to run a 5K organized by her school. Friday morning those plans changed when Kaitlynn was asked to guest play at a soccer tournament in Nashville. Since we had already registered for the race I asked if her little sisiter could take her place. It didn't change much but the name as they were both in the same age group 13 & under. We got the okay and Kylee was so excited!

I was by her side from start to finish. She did so well! There were runners and walkers at the race. At about the halfway point we lost sight of the runners but there were walkers behind us. Kylee was so cute because everytime the walkers got close Kylee would yell "Run Momma Run!" We did a combination of running and walking throughout the race. Kylee never seemed to tire in fact she never broke a sweat. She got a little embarrassed at the finish line when everyone was cheering for her but other than that she had a great first race. She completed the course in 46:42. I'm sure there are more races in her future. :)

Not babies anymore...

Today was a big day in our house and Kendall and Kylee have really been looking forward to it... Today we visited their future school, the same school that Kaitlynn use to attend...
Today Kylee signed up for pre-k, a 5 days a week preschool...
Today Kendall signed up for kindergarten...
Today I realized how much I have missed their school, it's been a few years since Kaitlynn was there...
Today I was reminded that the teachers at their school are all so wonderful...
Today was the day that I knew that we were all ready for this...
Today was the day that I realized that our babies are not babies anymore...

More blogging?

Yes, I do believe so! I got a new laptop this week which means you can expect more blogging. I know you all are excited! :) My old laptop was just well old and slow and becoming too much of a headache and waste of time that I pretty much quit using it... Meaning I wasn't blogging as much as I wanted to. You can expect that to change. :)
