I'll start by saying I'm not one that feels you should graduate at the end of every school year. However I do think that when it is your last year at a particular school such as an elementary school and the following year you enter a middle school then there is reason to celebrate and reflect. With that being said, Kaitlynn graduated from the 5th grade today. Next year she will be attending a school for grades 6th-8th.
Along with her Completion of Elementary Studies Certificate of Achievement Kaitlynn was awarded numerous academic awards which I will try to list below.
I tried to take a picture every time her name was called for an award, but I think I missed a few. Kylee was also sitting in my lap which made it hard to focus the camera.
Here is a picture of the children that made straight A's the entire year. Seven of them. Only seven out of the whole school! I'm a very proud mama that Kaitlynn was one of them!
Here is a picture of Kaitlynn with her librarian and librarian assistant. Kaitlynn's favorite award and the award that she is most proud of was given to her by her librarian. Kaitlynn had the most accelerated reader points this year out of all the students in the school. She also won this award last year. The Amazon gift certificate that comes with this award is a big hit. Kaitlynn's Kindle will be getting some new books downloaded on it very soon!
Kaitlynn with her homeroom teacher. She has had such a great year and I know her awesome teachers are to thank for that.
Kaitlynn sitting on the school sign. I couldn't pick the one I liked best so I posted them both. Goodbye Westside School.
I'm going to try to make a list of the awards she received below.

I am super proud of her! She achieved this academic success at the same time she was excelling in Awana at our church and keeping up with her crazy soccer schedule. I guess busy agrees with her.
