Disney's Inaugural Star Wars Half Marathon at Disneyland

Almost exactly three years after my first Run Disney Disneyland event we returned to California for a new race, the Star Wars Half Marathon.

Kaitlynn accompanied me to the race expo so that I could pick up my packet.

I'm so excited to be participating in the Coast to Coast Challenge this year. I will complete the second half of the challenge this November at Disney World. This will be my second Coast to Coast Challenge.

The race went great! The weather was perfect and I actually ran a negative split!

Trey got the next three photos of me right before I crossed the finish line.

My favorite picture! I always try to high five one of the characters at the finish line but this is the first time I got a picture of it.

So how did I do? It wasn't a personal record but it was my fastest time since Kynsee was born. I feel like I'm finally starting to get it back. Here are my splits and official finish time:

5K Split - 32:59 Pace 10:37

10K Split - 1:04:20 Pace 10:22

15K Split - 2:15:54 Pace 10:22

Goofy's Kitchen

Our last Disney adventure before heading to the airport was breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel.

It was really early and Kynsee wasn't really in the mood for pictures...

She had absolutely no time for Chip.

Minnie Mouse was okay though.

After we left we saw this car in the hotel lobby, of course the girls climbed in.

Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure

Today was race day. I will devote a separate post to it. After I finished my race I made it back to the hotel and showered. The six of us were then in the park by 9:30am. :)

I finally got a picture of Kynsee in front of the castle!

We ran into Captain Hook again but this time Kynsee was a little braver.

She told him "Go away, Hook! Go away!"

No big deal guys... I'm about to ride my first roller coaster!

"That was so fun!" Looks like Kynsee is going to love roller coasters too!

For lunch we walked over to Disney's California Adventure and ate at Cocina Cucmonga Mexican Grill. It was delicious!

We also rode California Screamin again!

We took an afternoon break and headed back to the room. I think we all took a nap today. 

Back to Disneyland to get a few more rides in before we leave tomorrow.

Dumbo at night is so much fun!
