On November 9th I completed my sixth half marathon and my first one since Kynsee was born. Running a half marathon ten months after giving birth was not the original plan. I think I mentioned on here before that I was registered for my first full marathon January 13th of this year but then I found out I was pregnant and wouldn't you know my due date was January 13th! Anyways there was a no refund policy on that race registration but Run Disney allowed me to transfer the registration to another race within the same year. Of course I picked the one that would give me the most time to train and I decided on a half not a full marathon. Training while nursing an infant is hard. Keeping hydrated was a task and finding the time to sneak away for a run was even harder. I did not train as much as I should have but I am still proud of my finish. My time was about twenty five minutes slower than my previous best but that was expected with my lack of training. The good news is I should definitely cut time on half marathon #7 which will be here before I know it.

The next day after a little sleep and a shower.
Finish time - 2:28:13 Pace 11:19
5K Split - 31:02 Pace 10:00
10K Split - 1:04:38 Pace 10:25
15K Split - 1:40:26 Pace 10:47
As you can tell by my splits I did not get enough long training runs in as I got slower the longer I went. I also got a side stitch at mile 9 and had to do quite a bit of walking from that point to the finish line. Overall though I am happy with my finish and I know one day I will match or better my PR time of 2:03:07.
