Health Update.

Kaitlynn woke up this morning feeling pretty cruddy. She went to school anyway because she is tough like that. Well, I had a PTO meeting at her school at noon today. I walked into the school office and heard the secretary say "well her mom just walked in." I knew that couldn't be good. Her teacher had taken her temperature and it was 102! She sent Kaitlynn to the office where the secretary took her temperature again and I saw the reading of 102.1! She hung out in the nurse's office until my meeting was over. Then we left and I immediately called the doctor's office. They were able to get her in almost immediately, thank goodness! So, I picked up Kendall and Kylee from Mother's Day Out a little early. As I was picking Kendall up her teachers were going on and on about her green snotty nose. Great! I just can't catch a break. We got to the doctor's office and they immediately did a strep test. Well, of course it came back positive for strep. She said Kaitlynn is contagious for the next 24 hours. It takes that long for the antibiotic to work. I then asked what symptoms I needed to look for in Kendall and Kylee. Guess what the first thing she says.... A green snotty nose. Bingo, so then she checks Kendall out and she says she is pretty certain Kendall has strep in her sinuses. I never even knew you could get that! So, yep, Kendall is now on an antibiotic too! She then tells me that if I have to call the pediatrician for Kylee over the weekend to make sure I tell them we have strep in the family. Really? She sounded as if it were very likely Kylee would get it as well. Guess we will just have to wait and see. Kaitlynn goes back to the doctor on Monday. If she isn't feeling better she may be getting a mono test. Another child at her school in her grade has been diagnosed with it and the symptoms are very similar.

Funny Kendall stories!

So, it seems like it has been awhile since I have mentioned Kendall. Well, the truth is Kendall and her daily drama would be enough to have her own blog! So, here are just a few funny Kendall stories.

Last Friday I was shampooing the carpet and the furniture in the living room. Kendall says "Momma, what you doing? Momma, what you doing?" She never gives me time to respond.... "I'm cleaning this couch Kendall. It is dirty!" "Hey Momma, Momma?" "Yes, Kendall?" "That's not a couch. That's a wuv seat!" "Yes, Kendall. You are right. This is a love seat." What would I do without her?

Last Saturday we all went to David's Bridal to get Kendall's flower girl dress for my brother-in-law's wedding. Before leaving we told Kendall we were going to get her "Cinderella dress." We get in the car (it's about an hour drive) and about halfway there Kendall starts talking about Disney World. We get to David's Bridal and go straight to the flower girl dresses. My future sister-in-law asks me what size Kendall is and I say probably a 3. She picks up a dress and shows it to Kendall. Kendall says "that's too big!" Well, what do you know it was too big. Someone had put it in the wrong spot. So, my future sister-in-law picks up the same dress in a size 3 and shows it to Kendall. Kendall says it's "okay." How in the world did she know the first one was too big? Then we took it into the dressing room where Kendall proceeded to have about a 20 minute meltdown. I have no idea what her problem was. The only thing that I can think is she thought we were going to Disney World to get her "Cinderella dress." David's Bridal doesn't look like Disney World. After finally getting her to put the dress on and recover from her meltdown...... We couldn't get her to take the dress off! She was dancing around the store with flowers and a bracelet all while watching herself in the mirrors.


On Sunday we were in the backyard cleaning up some. Kendall tells me she needs her bathing suit. I say no Kendall the water is too cold. A few minutes later we hear Kaitlynn say "Kendall is taking her pants off!" We turn and look at Kendall who already has her pants off and is working on taking her shirt off. We are shocked! Then Kendall sits on the top step of the pool. Guess she wanted to swim!! This ended with Kaitlynn putting on her bathing suit and the two of them having their first swim of the season.

She asked me to take her picture with the field in the background. On a paper she wrote for school she said when she grows up she wants to go to the University of Tennessee and play soccer. She wants to study to become a veterinarian and get a job working at Disney's Animal Kingdom when she graduates.

Kaitlynn's soccer team had their 4th game of the season Monday night. They won 3-0 and Kaitlynn had two goals!! They are now 4-0 for the season!

Kylee Update!

We just left the doctor's office. Kylee has been diagnosed with eczema and an allergy to sulfa. Kylee has been on an antibiotic for the last several months to treat and help prevent ear infections. She has had a very persistent rash during this time too! I have done all I can to control it but nothing has worked. She has now been taken off the antibiotic (her ears are currently clear), given a specially compounded creme, and is now on soy milk instead of cow's milk. Let's pray this works!

Kaitlynn's Soccer Team Won Again!

Kaitlynn's soccer team had their third game of the season tonight. They won 8-3! Kaitlynn had 4 goals!! I didn't get any pictures because Kendall and Kylee kept me super busy. Kendall had a couple of 2 year old meltdowns and Kylee well she wanted on that field! I'll try to make sure I get atleast one picture at the game this coming Saturday. They are 3-0!

We took the girls to Neyland Stadium to watch Tennessee's Orange and White game today. They were so good and had a great time! After the game we met up with some friends and had dinner. It's been a long but fun day!

Soccer Game

Fast!!

Kaitlynn had her second soccer game of the season today. Their first game was last Saturday but I forgot my camera so I don't have pictures from it. Last week Kaitlynn's team won 7-0 and Kaitlynn had 3 goals. This week Kaitlynn's team won 4-0 and Kaitlynn had 2 goals. Her team is doing so well this season. They work together as a team and play so hard!

NYC

Last summer me and Trey went to New York City without the kids. Before we went I found a web camera online that shows Times Square. A couple hours after we landed we wandered down to Times Square and stood where I knew Kaitlynn could see us. Trey called her and told her to get on her computer. We told her what color shirts we had on and waved (We are in the median. Trey is in blue and I am in purple). She said she saw us and we talked for a few minutes. When we got home from our trip Kaitlynn showed us this picture. She had found a way to take a snapshot of the web cam image. I thought it was cool, so I thought I would share it with all of you.

Pictures from our quick trip to Pigeon Forge.

We drove up to Pigeon Forge Saturday evening for dinner (and a little shopping). I didn't take many pictures because we really weren't there that long. The first pictures were taken outside the restaurant and the last one was taken outside the Carter's outlet. I always find such cute stuff in that store.

Hannah Montana Movie Night
